My crazy weekend :)

Well i had long, but very exciting weekend, so needless to say much cricut-ing did not get done, Friday night Me and Chris and Blake and MyLissa went to "Country Fried Fridays" At Wild Wings in Asheville and saw Jeff Bates play, then came back to the house for some good old fashioned XBOX (LOL) and some of my new addiction "The Secret Life of American Teenagers." Then Saturday I cleaned house and did some serious laundry, and the re arranged my craft room a little, there used to be just this... and a box and a soccer ball bean bag in the corner lol, Now they are both lined upp on the left wall there is a full size bed a "Husband's chest" with TV  and the a dresser with double mirrors on opposite next to wall, I also finally emptied my trash box lol, but after that i sat down and made 2 leprechauns from my "Simply Charmed cartridge" and a pot of Gold with a rainbow I am going to cut the words "Happy St. Paddy's Day" and something else or another phrase to go  in bottom left not sure will see what me and my cricut get in to :) Then After all this we were like what are we gonna do tonight.. well we decide to grab MyLissa an Blake and went to Gatlinburg for the night... decided to stay the night had a blast, had a little to much fun :) but hey you only live once :) So ill have to take  new picture and "picnik" it so you see my new craft room  but here is my board (below)  with a light yellow backing and the cutest "St Paddy's Day" garland with my info for work Ill show you when I complete it.

Happy Birthday Aunt Ju-Ju!!!!

Today is a very special day its my Aunt Ju-Ju (Julie's) Birthday so i had to post her card and wish her the best.... she hasn't gotten it yet though so shh! lol We are doing her party in a week or so being that my Uncle Steve is on duty with the military over her birthday. Any who here is her card i hope she loves it!
This card was fairly easy I did basic 5.5''x 4'' for the base and then i used a floral paper from an old pattern paper stack i bought years ago cut t 5''x3.5'' i then cut a brown piece for the next layer at 4''x2.5'' so more of the flower would show, the cup cake is from simply charmed, and i did in blues and greens to match and cut the cupcake wrapper out of some textured thicker cardboard like card stock i bought in a generic scrap pack at AC Moore, and of course i then pop dotted it to the front caddy cornered. let me know what you think

And this little guy is a last minute birthday card for a girl i work with, her son is turning "1" today and she has a thing for frogs so i thought what better than... a frog lol thought it turned out super cute and super simple! For my first even some what boy card lol! so any who the base is a blue cut to 5.5''x5.5'' i then used a glitter piece from my DCWV glitter scrap mat cut to 4.5''x4.5'' and then just an orange piece cut to 3.5''x3.5'' the frog i cut from the paisley cartridge <frog1> at 3 inches and then pop dotted him to the front slightly high, i was gonna write happy birthday there, but then i decided i liked it the way it was so i left it alone.
Any who let me know what you think, and if you need one or two or even three for something let me know and we can see what we can work out.

I made this card with my "forever young"  cartridge, the colors are hard to see, but the card (4''x5.5'') is an iridescent pearl color with a light green over lay cut at 3.5''x 5'' and then i cut the <model6> at 2'' i think (sorry not sure) but i know the word "Gorgeous" (same button) i cut at 1 inch because i didn't realize quite how big it would be lol i used the same pearl color for the shadow and the dress and the words are from my DCVW stack "Its all about the girls) didn't it turn out cute! lol

Here is a close up of the word

This one i whipped up last night, using my favorite colors RED, RED and a little more RED! ha ha!
I thought it was cute i cut the lipstick and nail polish from the "Forever Young" cartridge as well at 3 inches i used a dark red for base with black and i actually used the back of a pattered Valentines paper from AC  Moore that was silver and did the accents to do the lipstick i just cut  the shifted lip stick again and cut off the top section, i then cut "glam" from same cartridge at 1 inch the layer is in the same silver and i cut it at 4.5''x 3'' and pop-doted the nail polish and lipstick... i think it turned out super cute, cant wait for an excuse o use it! lol, Well let me know what you think and as always

The picture is a little foggy i will have to take a better one, so look back ill post it hopefully tomorrow, you can see the colors really good in the one below(left)

close up of boots

close up of umbrella

I used a simple light yellow for card, (5.5''x4'') i then used a green star burst glitter paper from DCVW cut down to 5''x3.5'' then a blue layer that was cut 4.5''x 3'', I cut umbrella at 2 in and boots at 1.5'' and i flipped one so that i could layer like that for the accents on both i used scraps of the same green star burst paper to tie in all in. Well let me know what you think! and as much as i didn't want it to rain sure beets the snow! lol will post more in a little bit :)

Not sure what i am going to do with it, but i will find a use it is too too cute :)
another project i did was this random card for my sister, we have a little weinner dog her name is Honey, she is so precious, and my 12 year old sister is obsessed with anything weinner dog. so i told her i would have to make her a card, and she told me "well you better make her brown like Honey" so i used my new paisley cartridge and cut the dog at 1.5 inch and then used the same words on the button "So Cute"  also cut at 1 inch, and the card like all is 5.5''x4''  there is also on the inside right boottm the same color dog cut at 1''

Getting a jump on spring.....

So i am waiting on a new cartridge  to get here hopefully today :)  but in the mean time i wanted to make a card, and play with the cartridge i had.. so i thought i would try an Easter card :) lol.. so this is what i did, its kind of big this card is 5.5"x 5.5",  I actually didn't realize when i cut the <bunnycrt> at 4'' that it was quite that big, so the card had to be big, i then layered a page from my new "Glitter Stack" cut down to 4.5"x 4.5" than the green which i then layered 4.5"x 2" i then added the pop dots to the bunny on top, and i am going add a "Happy Easter" stamp or bunny related one to the bottom left.

This last picture was hard to see but the stamp made me laugh so i had to buy it. it says " This card was made by hand. If you throw it away those same hands will make a doll in your image and stick pins in its butt." Is that not funny lol
Any who So i am in LOVE, love, love with this paper i found at AC Moore DCWV Premium Stacks it is all glittered basic pattered paper, and i by it in the small matting stack (big enough to Matt your typical 4x7 photo) Will post picture with tomorrows card.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!

I just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day and show off several projects lol, I have been stock piling them and didn't want to spoil the surprise if anyone saw but I am posting this am!

I made these for the girls in my departments,  they were easy and (I thought not too time consuming) found these here at EveryDay Cricut, go check them out!

This one i used the Simply Charmed Cartridge, and gut the love bugs at 1in (5.5x4)

This one was real simple, I used scrap from the fortune cookie and just printed "Happy Valentines Day" in a script font on to some card stock and then cut down. (5.5x4)

This one is my all time favorite, I have never been happier with a card I have made, I just think it turned out super cute (6x6)

This is the same just different colors and its an inch smaller (5x5)

And this one was different but i like how it turned out, I just used a heart paper and cut out the <heart2> from George and Basic Shapes Cartridge at 1.5 in in silhouette, and the pink one in the center at 2in not your traditional VDay Colors but still liked it :) (5.5x4)
So Let me know what you think I forgot to take a picture of the other fortune cookies so I only had the 2 to show you but oh aren't they cute :) leave me a comment and tell me what you think, or what is your favorite! Cant wait to hear form you! and as always

Birthday Party!!!

So yesterday we had a birthday party in my old department for 3 of our girls, and I made cards, and it was so hard not to post them and show them off... but those girls actually read my blog to... so I couldnt post with fear they would see so here goes!

Now I realized last night after watching my favorite bloggers site, Robyn, that a typical card size (called an A2) is 5.5'' by 8.5'', The size i prefer is 5.5''x 8'' i just thought that was funny :) I love my cards they are small but not to small, but i also have fallen in loe with a 5''x10'' cuz it makes a big square, envelopes are not my problem being i dont mail off my cards yet but i may have to alter my favorites when i start doing that which I hope to soon. anywho, please comment and tell me what you think :)
